I know you can adjust the delay in Forscan, but it's like to adjust the light tolerances. Unless the sensor is in direct sun, the headlights kick on.
Posted November 6, 2021. I have a 62 plate mk3 focus with factory fitted hid headlights. One of the headlights self adjusts when the lights are turned on but the other one doesn't. I suspect that the one that is not leveling has been replaced at sometime with a genuine second hand unit. Do these lights need to programmed in to the car and if so If you don't have the beam check tool then right after you get your lights checked mark them on your garage wall or somewhere else, on a piece of wood or car
His adjustment of headlights is quite simple. Use a straight 2X4 and put across the lights and make them parallel to the 2x4. Make sure the car is level and use a carpenters spirit level on each headlight face and cocked them down until they are 1/2 bubble off of plumb or 1/2 bubble on the level. That's it.
