How long will it take for the dpf to cool after regen I know it has contributed factors but on a average day temperature Steve B. July 14, 2022 / 6:26 pm Reply DPF Regen- Forced by Vida. First I have to say, best thing I could have gotten for my V40 is the Vida Dice, life saver!!! So last nigh, heading home from work, just started driving and the message pops up " Partical Filter Full" and " Engine system Service required" and the car goes into Limp mode. Much less power. This must be a failsafe to clear the DPF if normal driving does not start passive regen. In the past week I've done several hundred miles of high-speed, high rpm journeys (including one 40-mile stretch at a constant 2750rpm in 5th) so the DPF **should** be good and clear through passive regen. 14690 posts · Joined 2014. #2 · Jun 9, 2016. #1, idle as little as possible, but for one hour occasionally, shouldn't be a big issue. It may run like it's loaded up for a few minutes after you get moving again. #2, what you experienced was "active regeneration", that is when you will notice the drop in economy and the diesel exhaust smell Regen typically lasts about 20-30 mins and happens only above 30 mph. If it get interrupted, the system will pick up where it left off. A sign you interrupted the regen is that the truck will idle at 800 rpm instead of 680 rpm. I really can't speak to much to how the other manufactures achieve DPF compliance.
35. Tractor. TYM T474 (2021) So when you have both of those flashing it means there is a fault with DPF system (nothing about that in manual). Apparently yesterday I caught a stick and it's broke the male end of the connector. Service tech figured it out, I would have never saw it as it was bent over, not completely broke off.

The operator has to push the button to allow a potential burn to be allowed. The L01's you have to press the button to be in "inhibit" mode. 1). Take the car for a drive on the freeway at the speed limit and drop down a gear or two to bring engine revs up to 2500. Hold for 20-30 minutes. This will assist the car to do a passive regeneration. The main reason DPF’s get blocked is short trips and city driving. Drive Faster.
There are two types of regeneration: passive and active. Passive DPF regeneration . Passive regeneration occurs when the car is running at speed on long motorway journeys which allows the exhaust temperature to increase to a higher level and cleanly burn off the excess soot in the filter.

How long does DPF forced regeneration take? A forced regen occurs when soot builds up inside the diesel particulate filter (DPF) to the point that the vehicle is no longer operable. Immediately after gauge showed zero and engine light went out, but within a few miles it’s starting to creep up. I think I have a problem. I think it would be better if the light was still on when I take it to the p.o.s dealer.

Eventually dealer told me if dpf light came on to take car on open road and select a gear (4) sport auto and drive at 3500 rpm (110 klm) until dpf light went out. So far this has worked. Need to travel 20-25 klm to complete regen. DPF needs to achieve 600c min to do an active burn. Reply
