In this case the backlog is enabled for your Kanban board, so epics get pulled / displayed in the left-most panel, rather than on the board itself. With this configuration, you can print epics via the issue search with the following search query (filters by project too) -. issuetype = Epic AND project = "Demonstration Project".I think you want to remove the Bug level name (bugs will sit with stories in the standard issue types level). This will give you Initiatives as a parent level to Epics. You cannot remove Epic level, as it is part of the fundamental issue type hierarchy in Jira, not just Advanced Roadmaps. Totally agree with @Danielle Green answer.
Branch: on JQL to find the desired epic matching your criteria. Action: add a link of a type you do not use to the trigger issue. Perhaps, split from/to. Action: re-fetch to reload the trigger issue's data and see the added link. Action: edit issue to set the epic link to the key value in the specific link added.
You can add an exclusion rule at any time to your plan. When creating a new plan, use the Refine issues displayed section to exclude issues. To add an exclusion rule in an issue source in an existing plan: Select Plan settings from the left side navigation. Select Exclusion rules from the menu on the left. Use the fields to dictate which issues

In an issue board, drag an issue card from its list into the Closed list. From any other page in the GitLab UI: On the left sidebar, select Search or go to and find your project. Select Plan > Issues, then select your issue to view it. In the upper-right corner, select Issue actions () and then Close issue .
Hi @avijayaragunathan - Just navigate to the child issue you want to delete and delete it under the 3 dots menu. I did not find any delete option here. Do you know any other way to delete issue/child issue? Check the permission scheme for that project to see who has the ability to Delete Issues.
Nov 01, 2018. @Lou Hill. The board is a view of the query. Exclude "Initiatives" in your query, ie project = projectname AND issuetype != "Initiative". You can edit the filter at the top left and or change the view to stories only with the drop down. Get started with next-gen projects. Using your Scrum backlog. Enjoy.
#getting issue links. #create JIRA instance self.jira = JIRA(basic_auth =(self.jira_username, self.jira_api_token), options ={"server": self.jira_server}) #Pass JIRA name and get Issue links idl= self.jira.issue(jiraid) # passing JIRA name getIssuelinks=idl.fields.issuelinks #issuelinks #iterate and delete for x in getIssuelinks: print (x.id)
go to your project. Open project settings. go to the menu entry "people". and see there what is defined for those groups and your own account. If you can also take a screenshot of the permission scheme itself (the delete issue permission) that might help. Like. Reply. 0 votes. alex1 Mar 30, 2021.
However, users cannot create issues from the Epic page itself by either clicking the "Create Child Issue" button in the opsbar or by clicking the "+" icon in the Child Ticket list near the bottom of the Epic page. When users attempt to do this, they continually see the warning icon in the Child Issue list row, with the warning label displayingYou can remove the epic from the issue by: 1. clicking on the epic field that you are pointing to in your question to edit it (note: don't click on the coloured epic lozenge itself, but the field around it as shown in the screenshot below when you hover over the field with your mouse)
You can do that with the Bulk change function. Click on the 3 dots menu in the upper right next to the Export button. Then choose Bulk change and follow the steps. For the next question, issues are stored in the database and connected to a project. Issues can be viewed and interacted with on a board or a list.
